FEES AND REBATES
MEDICARE
If you are a Medicare card holder and require mental health support, you may be eligible to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. This entitles you to a rebate for part of the session fee for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The rebate amount is $137.05. It is a common courtesy to make an extended appointment with your GP to discuss your mental health concerns and eligibility for a MHCP. Psychiatrists are also able to provide a MHCP.
PRIVATE HEALTH
You may be able to claim a rebate for part of the session fee from your Private Health Fund, but not concurrently with a Medicare rebate. For more information or to discuss your eligibility for a rebate, please contact your Private Health Fund directly.
SESSION FEES
The standard session fee is $250. Any rebates reduce the total out of pocket cost. This is below the recommended fee schedule by the Australian Psychological Society, with the intent of making psychological support more accessible. However, you are welcome to discuss the fees and rebates with Ashley when making your appointment. Concession fees may be available for students and low-income earners.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Any changes or cancellations are required more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Any changes within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee of the full session fee. Note Medicare does not provide rebates for cancelled sessions.
